Skepta is a North London Grime MC whose parents were immigrants from Nigeria. WizKid is from Surulere, a residential/commerical area of Lagos, Nigeria.
Awhile back I wrote about Tekno, a rising star as one of the forefront leaders in the AfroBeat Genre. Well, WizKid is that forefront leader highly regarded as one of the initial few to ignite the Nigerian rooted sound and bring it to where it is today, gaining major notoriety after his collaboration with Drake on One Dance back in 2016. This track not only has good vibes keeping bad energy far far away, it combines the sounds of Grime and Afrobeat both very popular in the UK music scene that is steady making its way over to the Western Hemisphere in the near future.
