quickly, quickly – Stay Up

The Portland native is only 17 years old, however his musical ability is far beyond his years. Quickly, quickly consistently brings together sounds of jazz, R&B, and hip hop in his songs, creating a level of musicality not often heard in pop music today.
Quickly, quickly has released two EP’s, and will release his third, Over Skies, on the 27th of July. Jonson is an extremely skilled instrumentalist, often playing piano, bass, drums and guitar on his records, but his production ability is what allows him to define his unique sound display his musical abilities. On his latest single, Stay Up, quickly compliments a jazzy sax riff with a piano loop, layering the rest of the song with electronic effects, and putting it all over a funky half-time beat.
