The Suffers – I Think I Love You
By The Suffers are a soul band from Houston with an organic sound that contrasts most popular music today. The ten piece group has coined the term “Gulf Coast Soul” to describe their unique sound, influenced equally by modern hip hop stars like Kendrick Lamar, ska bands like Operation Ivy, and classic soul acts like Gladys Knight.
The group has a full rhythm section of piano, bass, drums, guitar, and percussion, along with a horn section with trumpet, trombone, and saxophone, built around lead singer Kam Franklin. This summer, The Suffers have been playing at music festivals all over the country, and released their second full-length album, Everything Here earlier this month. I Think I Love You is a funky song which ends with a climatic organ solo. Watch the official lyric video below.
