Phonte – Change Of Mind feat. Freddie Gibbs
By Phonte has recently released his newest studio album No News Is Good News. Born and raised in North Carolina, his sound can’t be solely identified to Hip Hop as he experiments with R&B and singing. He usually tends to discuss the norms of working-class life.
The album is distributed by Foreign Exchange Music, a label founded by Phonte and Dutch Producer Nicolay. The two merged together to create a hip-hop group called The Foreign Exchange and have since released two projects together.
No News is Good News has a nice chill sound and brings some quality music into modern Hip Hop typically not heard all over the radio. Change of Mind features Freddie Gibbs on the 2nd verse. Check it out below…
