Last Friday (6/22) Francis & The Lights put on a very high energy performance at the intimate Fillmore Theater in San Francisco. The Berkeley native returned to the Bay Area for the last concert of his first tour, a short stint of six shows promoting his second studio album, Just For Us. This project, much like his debut album, Farewell, Starlite! uses groovy bass lines, electronic beats, synthesizers, Francis’s wide vocal range and his unique production.
The G.O.O.D. Music artist paid homage to fellow artist and label founder Kanye West with a play through of his latest album, Ye, before coming on stage. This hyped up the crowd and created a lively, energy filled environment which Francis would feed off of for the whole show. Singing as he walked through the audience, hitting his signature dance moves, and taking a stage dive are just some of the ways Francis connected with his hometown fans. Watch him perform Back in Time, a track off his new record and Friends, one of his classics in the video below.
